CHEYENNE - With the coming of the New Year also comes the first application periods for the upcoming hunting seasons.  The Game and Fish is now accepting applications for nonresident elk licenses and resident and nonresident spring turkey licenses for the 2010 hunting seasons. 

The application deadline this year is Feb. 1.  Applications must be received in the Cheyenne office by 5 p.m. on that date to be included in the drawing.  The Feb. 1 deadline is a departure this year from the normal Jan. 31 deadline since Jan. 31 is on a weekend.  When the deadline date is on a day when the Cheyenne Headquarters office is closed for normal business hours such as weekends, holidays, etc., applications must be received by 5 p.m. Mountain Time on the next business day that the Cheyenne Headquarters office is open.  Deadline times are for both online and paper applications.
