NONRESIDENT ELK APPLICATIONS, RESIDENT AND NONRESIDENT TURKEY APPLICATIONS DUE FEB. 1 - Jan. 04, 2010CHEYENNE - With the coming of the New Year also comes the first application periods for the upcoming hunting seasons. The Game and Fish is now accepting applications for nonresident elk licenses and resident and nonresident spring turkey licenses for the 2010 hunting seasons.

The Rawlins Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) has been selected by Field and Stream Magazine as the Conservation Chapter of the Year for the RMEF. Field and Stream honored the chapter as part of their Heroes of Conservation awards program for 2008.

The supplemental drawing for limited quota elk, deer and antelope licenses has been completed and a number of licenses still remain in various hunt areas throughout the state.

CHEYENNE - With the completion of the drawings, thousands of resident and nonresident hunters can now begin planning their hunting trips. June drawings were for resident limited quota elk, deer and antelope licenses and nonresident deer and antelope licenses. The nonresident elk drawing was held in February.
